The problem we kept seeing
Small plumbing shops — the kind run by an owner with two or three techs — are the backbone of residential plumbing in the US. Those same shops are often running their whole business on a whiteboard, a spreadsheet, and a group text. Not because the owner is behind the times, but because the software options are either overkill or overpriced.
ServiceTitan is great if you have 25+ trucks and a dedicated admin team. Jobber is more approachable, but it’s built for “field service” broadly — HVAC, landscaping, cleaning, everything.
Why we built PlumberHQ
We built PlumberHQ because we wanted software that speaks plumber from day one. Not “service type” — drain cleaning, water heater, leak repair. The goal is simple: a plumbing shop owner should be able to sign up, add their techs, and be running real jobs through the system the same day — without a sales call.
Who it’s for
PlumberHQ is built for small plumbing shops with 2–5 technicians in the USA. That’s it. If you’re a solo plumber just starting out, it works for you too. If you’re running 25+ trucks, you probably need ServiceTitan — we’re honest about that.
